Dress Code Fly By- 3/2/16

Dear parents,
We conducted a fly by today addressing dress code violations as well as device violations.  During this fly by we addressed:

17 - 7th grade students about dress code
17 - 8th grade students about dress code
5 - 7th grade students about not having a chromebook cover
5 - 8th grade students about not having a chromebook cover

Dress code violations today included students wearing leggings without shirts that were of adequate length and students wearing their hoods on their hooded sweatshirts or hats in the building.

As a reminder, students are permitted to wear leggings as long as their shirts cover their behinds and are equally as long in the front.  Students are permitted to wear hoodie sweatshirts, but are not permitted to have hoods on or winter hats in the building.

Chromebooks are an important tool in daily instruction at SJH, and for that reason, we want to ensure they remain in working condition.  Our protective covers are an important first step to ensure this.  Students who have a broken or missing chromebook cover will be sent to the media center for a replacement.  A bill will be sent to the home for the replacement costs.  A student that continually doesn't have their device covered will be referred to the office.

We appreciate your support in keeping our school and our students ready to learn each day!
