Goal #1: Teachers will collaborate in PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES to inform classroom instructional practices.
Goal #2: Teachers will increase FORMATIVE INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES in daily practice.
Goal #3: Teachers will improve in the DIFFERENTIATION of instruction in classrooms.

Announcements October 5-9, 2015


  • Attention all GIRLS and BOYS interested in playing BASKETBALL this year.  We will have a mandatory Players AND Parents meeting on Thursday, October 8th.  The Girls Meeting will be at 6:00 and the Boys at 7:00.  Both meetings will take place in the Media Center.  We will discuss the expectations of the Basketball Program, the tryout process, and the tryout and practice schedule.  Please make sure that if you are serious about playing basketball this season, that you have everything signed on Final Forms, and that you attend this meeting with an adult family member. 
  • There will be a short informational meeting for all students interested in trying out for the Jr. High Swimming and Diving Team on Tuesday, October 13th at 3:15p in the cafeteria. The meeting will last approximately one half hour."
  • There will be a student council meeting on Wednesday from 3:15-4:30 in room 220. 
  • Fantastic job to those Aviator Bells who participated in the door decorating competition for Spirit Week...there are some great doors around the school, thanks to you!  After much deliberation by Spirit Club Committee Members, it has been decided that Mrs. Jenkins' Aviator Bell has won!  Congratulations and enjoy the free donuts!  Runner up is Mrs. DiOrio's Aviator Bell and the Spirit Club suggests she buys her own class donuts, as a result.  Thanks to all who participated!
  • Newspaper Club, please remember the meeting this week is onThursday, October 8!  See you then!  If you've never been to a meeting, it's not to late!  Any ? see Ms. Carter in the media center!
  • Picture Retake Day is Monday, Oct 12th in the new gym.
    • Order forms will be distributed to you, in your Aviator bell tomorrow.
    • The only reasons students should participate are:
    • To purchase pictures w/payment
    • Student ID (new students and students who were absent on Fall Picture Day)
    • Retakes (students must have original pictures with them to be photographed free of charge)
    • Extra order forms will be available in the front lobby.
  • Congrats to the JH boys Golf team that moved up two spots from last years finish at GMC's.  We were led by 8th grader Clayton Steinbrink who brought in our low score and Alex Hewitt our low score for the 7th graders. 
  • Overall everyone on the team contributed and did a great job this year.  We were really pleased especially since many on the team are new to golf!
  • Power of the Pen will meet today in the Media Center from 3:15 to 4:15.
    • Please make sure you have a ride at 4:15.
  • This week our character word is promptness.  It is defined as a task carried out or performed on time.  Your challenge is to be on time to school and all your classes!
