Announcements 5/3

• Attention All 8th Grade Athletes.  If you have played a sport for all 6 seasons at SJH, you qualify for the 110% Award!  Please check the list outside of Mr. Rhoads' office to make sure that your name is on the list.  Let Mr. Rhoads know if you see a problem.
• All students who are interested in wrestling next year need to attend a mandatory meeting during Aviator Bell Thursday, May 5th in the wrestling room.
• "Aviators, this is your call to arms. The Men's water polo program is having its spring Parent and player meeting on Tuesday at the high school at 7pm in the team meeting room by the pool. All are welcome. Come join the squad. If you can not make it email coach Hellwig at aviatorpolo@gmail.com"
• Hey, fellow 8th graders! As you all know, the end of the year is coming fast! We need your help in collecting pictures for the end of the year video! Do you have any memories or pictures you want to show us? Use the hashtag #8thgradevideo2020 on Instagram and send us your pictures! Get your pictures in by May 11th, and we will put them in the video!
• "Sycamore Junior High volleyball players and those interested in playing next year, please plan to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 4 during aviator bell, in the cafeteria. Sycamore's varsity coaches will be in attendance and we will be handing out information about the summers conditioning programs, Open gyms, camps and the dates for the junior high's tryouts.

• Attention all 7th graders planning on playing for the 8th grade football team next fall.  There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday May 4th during Aviator Bell.  The meeting will take place in the new gym.  If you have any questions please see Coach DeJoy in the gym or Coach Harris in room 213
• Last night the Lady Aves Lacrosse team defeated the Vortex in a very exciting home game! The score was tied 6-6 with 3 minutes left and the Lady Aves put in the winning goal with about 2 minutes left. Then, just for fun, they scored one final goal with 0.7 seconds left for a final score of 8-6, Sycamore! Great job, girls! 
• Students: thinking ahead...  All library books are due back to the media center next Wednesday, May 11.  Be thinking about where your books are, get them in on time so you don't have late fees.  Those fees may keep you from going to 8th grade day!
