Students of the Week!

This week's Students of the Week are:

Cullen O'Shea
Nominated by: Mrs. Huffman

Cullen was chosen as this week's student of the week because of his overall awesome attitude! He is a hardworking young man who truly exemplifies what students here at Sycamore Junior High should strive to be like! His teachers say that he is caring, fun and has a great sense of humor. He is very polite to adults and students as well! Cullen is a conscientious student who strives to do his best and it shows in both his daily work and grades.
All of his teachers agree that Cullen is a wonderful young man who is a perfect representative of the type of student that make Sycamore Junior High a wonderful place to be.
Congratulations to Cullen O’Shea, this week's 8th grade student of the week

Shubhra Mishra
Nominated by: Mrs. George

This week’s student of the week is Shubhra Mishra.  Shubhra is a new student who arrived from India a little over a month ago.  What a terrific student!  She has transitioned to Sycamore Junior High so well. School is very much a priority for her.  She is disciplined, hard working, and constantly striving for excellence.  She shows significant interest in science and enthusiastically participates in class.  She always has her work completed and shows considerable effort in all she does. Her other teachers strongly support her selection as student of the week, making comments like, “She goes the extra mile to make sure she hands in quality work.  She daily demonstrates high level thinking. She has a strong  work ethic and commitment to her education.  She is a good artist, considerate and responsible.  She is often helping other students and is very humble when receiving praise.”
She is a wonderful addition to our school, and a great role model to her peers.  These reasons are why Shubhra Mishra is this week’s seventh grade student of the week.
