Athletes of the Week!

This week's Student Athletes of the Week are:

Lauryn Woods
Lauryn is a 7th grade Basketball Cheerleader, this is her 1st season cheering for Sycamore Junior High. Lauryn has been a great addition to our cheer family. She is always ready and willing to do anything for her team. Overall, Lauryn has excellent grades and her teachers have nothing but great things to say about her in the classroom. It is our pleasure to nominate Lauryn as Athlete of the Week.

Luke Gabbard
Congratulations to Luke Gabbard who is the Sycamore Junior High Athlete of the Week. Luke just finished a dominating performance over the weekend becoming a GMC Champion. He pinned in the finals displaying his dominance of the 122 pound weight class and finished 26-6 with 15 pins. Earlier in the year, Luke bumped up a weight to make room so a teammate could complete. His selflessness helped the team to a 2nd place finish at the Lebanon Invitational.  He is an outstanding individual wrestler who understands the importance of doing is best for the team. This attitude helped him reach his goal of becoming a GMC champion. Luke has made a name for himself this year proving that he is among the best in Cincinnati wrestling. We are very proud of Luke and his accomplishments. The coaches will miss him next year and look forward to watching the rest of his wrestling career.
