Volunteer Assistants Needed for 2016 City of Montgomery Safety Village Program

Being a Safety Village assistant is a great way to occupy your teen’s time and have them give back to their community.  It also is a great way to accumulate a good number of volunteer service hours for those who may have that requirement, for a job application or for a student’s college resume.  The program is in need of 40 teen (fourteen years and older by June 13, 2016) volunteers for 2016.  Teens do not have to live in Montgomery in order to volunteer.  The program takes place at the Swaim Lodge in Swaim Park at the corner of Zig Zag Road and Cooper Roads.  Volunteers must be available for a week long commitment, June 13-17 and/or June 20-24, for an AM shift 8:30-12:00 and/or a PM shift 12:30-4:00.  Multiple shifts are available.  For your teen to get the week and shift they want and/or to sign up with another volunteer for the same shift, they should sign up early.  Those interested should contact DeAnna Gross at 792-8329 or dgross@ci.montgomery.oh.us.
