Sycamore Junior High PTO
Open Positions 2016-2017
- Book Fair Chair: Organize volunteers and general support for Scholastic Book Fair
- 8th Grade Party: Coordinate committee chairs and works with the Junior High to plan and execute the entertainment at 8th grade party at the end of the year.
- PIE Breakfast Chair: Work with counseling secretary to decorate and oversee 4 PIE breakfasts; coordinate menu with CNS
- Math competition – Works with staff member to provide concessions at the math competition held at the JH in second semester
- First Day Coffee/Hospitality: Coordinate coffee and donated pastries for Welcome Back Coffee in August.
- New Family Welcome Hosts: Provide and set up the dinner for the new families to the JH before the 7th grade orientation in August. Send invitations to the new families.
- Nominating Committee Chair: Coordinate committee in January to solicit nominees for next year’s PTO board and committee chairs. Present slate in March.
- Sister School Coordinates activates with our sister school Winton Hills including luncheon in May; support field day in the spring.
- Lost and Found Chair: Coordinate volunteers to help with upkeep of Lost and Found and donations 3 times a year
- School Beautification Chair: Upkeep of the decorative pots in the front of the building and possibly flower beds around the school. Coordinate volunteers if needed.
- Wellness Committee Co-Chair With current co-chair, represent the Junior High at Sycamore Wellness Committee meetings and report to PTO Board and/or membership as needed.
- Sycamore Advisory Commission Representative: Represent the Junior High at Sycamore Advisory Commission meetings and report to PTO Board and/or membership as needed
- School Board Representative: Represent the Junior High at School Board meetings and report to PTO Board and/or membership as needed
- Golden Apples Coordinator Collect Golden Apple nominations. Distribute award to staff and submit winners to the Blog for recognition.
- Membership Chair Collect membership forms and payments. Create and maintain membership data. Coordinate with Treasurer. Great job for working parent!
- Student Directory Coordinator Collect all information for the student directory and assemble the directory. Great job for working parent!
