Announcements November 2-6, 2015

• Our annual book fair is going on in the media center.  It's a great way to get some great books, while raising money for SJHS.  You can stop in before and after school, during lunch, and you will come down with your language arts classes.  Earn some money at home and bring it with you! We will have some great books!
• Put money in the jar of the teacher you would like to see have some hot sauce on the video announcements on Monday.
• Thursday will officially be "Go Bengals" day here at the junior high.  Wear your Bengals gear or black and orange to support the hometown team as they battle the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night.  Go Bengals! 
• "If you are planning to tryout for the swimming and or diving team, you must submit all of the required paperwork in Final Forms before the first practices (Nov. 9 for diving and Nov. 10 for swimming) or you will not be able to participate."
• Attention all Skiers and snowboarders:  It almost turn in time!  Please make sure you buy your pass on line ASAP if you have not already done so.  Paperwork turn in is Tuesday, November 3rd or Wednesday November 4th during Aviator bell in the gym.  If you are interested in joining and have not yet picked up a packet, do it now with either Ms. Meyer in the health room or Mr. Kinsinger in the shop.  Don't be left out in the cold!
• On Friday November 6th, at 6:30pm at the High School Soccer Stadium you can attend the first ever, Sycamore "Strike Up the Band for Hunger!"
• It is an opportunity for you to see the Sycamore High School Marching Band perform music from the 2015 marching season and their award winning 2015 show, “That’s A Stretch”, while helping fight hunger in our community!  As we enter the holiday season we have many things to be thankful for and what better way to show that thankfulness than by sharing with those in need?  
• We ask that you bring two non-perishable food items to donate as the price of admission.  We have partnered with Operation Give Back to distribute these donated items to families within our community for this holiday season.
• This is a great opportunity to support the school and the community and we hope to see you there!

• Don't miss your opportunity to see Schoolhouse Rock! Tickets are on sale NOW. order forms are available from your Aviator Bell teacher today! Tickets will also be sold at lunch next week! Don't miss this awesome production!
• Homework Club today is in room 229-Allen.
• Athletic Board Members- your next meeting is on Friday at 7:30 in the Health Room.  Please let Mr. Rhoads know if you cannot attend. 
• Wrestlers, don't forget to sign up on final forms and make sure all of your paperwork is updated.  The first day of conditioning will be Monday, November 9th 3-4:30 in the wrestling room.
• The Flyer, your very own student written newspaper, would like to display your favorite fall themed photos.  If you're interested in showing off your fabulous fall photo in our next issue, please send it to theflyer@sycamoreschools.org, or post it on our Instagram page, thesycamoreflyer,  by Friday 11-13.  One photo per student please.  We may have a contest.... You  may win a prize!
