Dear SJH Parents,
At 10:15 this morning Sycamore Junior High School held a lock down drill. Students and staff were asked to remain in their classrooms during this drill and instruction continued. In cooperation with the local and state police departments, we utilized canine units to search the building. While we do not have any specific concerns regarding our building, we use the highest proactive measures to assure that our school remains a drug free learning environment. We appreciate the support of the police departments in ensuring that our building remains safe for all students. The drill ended at 10:35 and students were able to continue to their next bell class. We want to thank Montgomery Police Department for coordinating this important drill.
