Goal #1: Teachers will collaborate in PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES to inform classroom instructional practices.
Goal #2: Teachers will increase FORMATIVE INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES in daily practice.
Goal #3: Teachers will improve in the DIFFERENTIATION of instruction in classrooms.

Announcements Sept. 21-25, 2015

  • Students, 
    • We need your empty cleaned out gallon milk jugs for flight fest.  Please bring those in starting tomorrow and take them to Mr. Kinsinger's room.  His room is located in the gym hallway all the way down on the right.  
  • All Students:  The FLYER is the student written newspaper that has been absent from the JH since 2008!!.  WE want YOUR help to bring it back to life!  It will be fun, interesting and a great learning experience.  WE will meet weekly on Tuesdays in the media center. Join us for our next meeting from 3:15-4 next Tuesday!!
  • Attention all Mathletes!  The first math club meeting of the year will be held Wednesday, September 23rd AFTER school from 3:15-4:00 in Mrs. Abbas-Lee's room.  Anybody who has a passion for math is welcome to join!  If you cannot attend please see Mrs. Abbas-Lee in room 237 for information.
  • For sale on www.queencityspirit.com!!.  They are wonderful shirts to wear on holidays where we wear our Red, White and Blue!  Hundreds sold last year, so if you want to be in on the patriotic action, please order.  You only have until the end of September to order!  They are on the main page ofwww.queencityspirit.com

  • Attention writers!!!  Any student interested in joining POWER OF THE PEN should come to our first meeting next Monday, September 28 in the Media Center from 3:15 to 4:15.  Please make sure you have a ride at 4:15!  If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Ely in room 129 for more information.
  • Emma Brown captured medalist honors once again and led our girl golfers to victory Monday vs. Oak Hills.  Shruthi Chidambaram, Audrey Simons, and Dahlia Wang were also key contributors to the win.  The team will battle Kings today.
  • All Flight Fest Student Committee Members - our next after-school meeting is THIS Thursday September 24th in the Media Center until 4:30 pm.  Please arrange a ride to pick you up by the courtyard gates at 4:30! If you have not yet come but would still like to be involved, it is not too late to join!  We will be talking about the upcoming Pep Rally, Homecoming Parade as well as putting some finishing touches on FlightFest...  See Mrs. Zelvy, Mrs. DiOrio or Ms. Mott if you have any questions or cannot make it but still want to be involved.  Hope to see you there! 
  • Attention Yearbook Club members:  This Thursday during Aviator bell we will meet in Mrs. Speelman's room for a photography workshop.  If you have a camera feel free to bring it to the workshop, however it is not necessary to bring a camera. Yearbook club is still accepting new members. If you would like to join see Mrs. Speelman or just come toThursday's meeting.  Hope to see you there!
