This week's Students of the Week are:
It is with great pleasure that I nominate Lydia Massett as this week’s Student of the Week. The list of accolades that teachers responded with when I asked them about Lydia read like a recipe for a great junior high student. She is kind and respectful to kids as well as adults. She is a hard worker who participates in class, but is always there to help her fellow students. She is kind and serves as a role model to other students. One teacher simply stated she is awesome and I couldn’t agree more. I know in my social studies classroom Lydia is a student that makes teaching extremely rewarding. She is inquisitive and always tries her best. She is actively involved in the theater program both here at the JH and also in the community. I also know from personal experience that she is a a terrific and loyal friend who is respected by her peers and adults. I feel tremendously honored to name Lydia Massett as this week’s 8th grade Student of the Week.
Clytie is a student that stood out right away in my 4th bell Science class. She is someone who is responsible, kind and sweet. She diligently does her homework every day, and although she is quiet in class, She always has the right answer when I call on her. To me, she Seems like she would be happy just going along doing an excellent every day without recognition--but I want to acknowledge this sweet young lady for the wonderful person she is on a daily basis! Thank you and Congratulations, Clytie, for Standing out in such a positive way at SJHS!!
